Oban and District was formed from the Midland Scottish fleet based at Soroba Lane depot in Oban in 1992, the network and fleet being sold off in the run up to privatisation. Oban was somewhat remote to a company with a headquarters in Falkirk and it's transfer back to Midland ownership from Highland's was always questionable.

It's a small collection showing some of the fine fleet of Leopards that were operated along with some newer vehicles purchased along the way. Oban and District was purchased by West Coast Motors in 1998 and a new depot built on the outskirts of town, replacing the old Soroba Lane Depot and the overspill facility at the auction mart.

These slides are taken on 100 ASA slide film and scanned with a Nikon Coolscan V ED film scanner.
